Hello, my name is Carrie Hanrahan and I started working as a travel consultant in 1996. I love being able to help people out and ease the travel process for them. I have focused on corporate travel for over 10 years now and truly enjoy it. I like working with professional people that have an idea of what they need on their business trip. It allows me to work with the same clients so I am familiar with them and their needs. It also creates a bond and friendship because of the consistant communication between us. Being in the travel industry has allowed me to experience a lot of traveling that I probably would not have been able to do if I was not in this field.
Throughout the years I have continued training in many areas of my job to make it more efficient. I enjoy hotel inspections and feel it is important to know what I am selling to my clients. I work with a variety of hotel and car companies and I sell what is best for my clients needs.
My favorite places to travel domestically would be Washington DC, because it is rich in history and our Nation’s capitol. New York City, because of all the action, people, so many fabulous landmarks that every American should experience. The Atlantic coast has some great beaches, fabulous seafood and it’s a great place to see how our country got started. Florida is a great state as well with lots of fun in the sun and of course Walt Disney World. My other top US destination would be San Francisco, the redwoods, and vineyards. It is spectacular to walk across the Golden Gate, ride the cable cars, experience Fisherman’s Wharf and a tour of Alcatraz is a must. My favorite International destinations would be Cozumel/Playa del Carmen/Maya Riviera, Mexico and to stay at an All-inclusive. Costa Rica is a great place for eco-minded travelers. My all time favorite places in the world are Germany and Ireland. These countries are beautiful in culture, fabulous people, rich in history. Pretty much wherever I travel, I find something unique about it and typically always like where I visit. |
