Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meals as you travel to start your vacation.

Saturday, September 28
LONDON ARRIVAL
After landing in London and completing customs and immigration formalities, your CIE Tours guide will welcome you to England and escort you to the motorcoach for a transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is spent at leisure to relax after your transatlantic flight. You may wish to explore some of the many attractions that London has to offer. This evening join your fellow passenger for a welcome get-together and cocktail reception at the hotel bar. The group will then dine in the Westminster Bridge coffee shop.

Sunday, September 29
PANORAMIC LONDON AND VIKINGS GAME!
This morning take a guided tour of London’s best-known landmarks to include the West End, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. Drive by the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Visit the famous Tower of London where you can see the Crown Jewels, closely guarded by the Beefeaters. The group will then be dropped off at a local bar to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a tailgate-style party before the big game (any food or drink at the pub are at your own expense). Afterwards, the group will be transferred to Wembley where you will attend the Minnesota Vikings vs Pittsburgh Steelers football game. Following the game, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Monday, September 30
STONEHENGE & BATH

This morning leave London and travel west to Salisbury Plain to visit Stonehenge, one of Britain's most important prehistoric monuments. This huge megalithic structure, probably of religious significance, was erected about 5,000 years ago. Continue west to Bath, a spa town which has been well known for its natural hot springs for almost 2,000 years since the Roman era. The fashion of “taking the waters” was revived in Regency times during the 18th century and many of the finest houses, streets and parks date from then. Visit the Roman Baths and Pump Room and see Bath Abbey, the Royal Crescent and Queen’s Square. Return to London where the evening is free for individual pursuits.

Golf will be arranged today for those who want to play. Golf will be confirmed based on the number of interested participants.

RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES

Today your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to London Airport in plenty of time to check in for your transatlantic flight. You may do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before boarding your aircraft. Enjoy your flight across the Atlantic Ocean back to Minneapolis.
  Same as package 1 and 2 then continue on to Scotland October 1.

Tuesday, October 1
TRAIN TO EDINBURGH / EDINBURGH AT LEISURE
After breakfast this morning, the group will depart London via train to Edinburgh. Your tour guide will be waiting for your arrival to transfer you to your hotel. Once you have checked in, the balance of the day is free for relaxation or individual pursuits. You may choose to visit Gladstone's Land, on the Royal Mile, for an insight of life in the Old Town of the 17th century or visit the Georgian House to see life in the Georgian New Town. The Royal Museum of Scotland houses excellent collections of many types in wonderful Victorian galleries and the National Gallery of Scotland contains paintings by the world's leading artists. You could choose to stroll along Princes Street for shopping, especially at Jenners, the oldest independent department store in the world. This evening you will join your group for dinner at the Ghillie Dhu restaurant in Edinburgh.

Wednesday, October 2
EDINBURGH SIGHTSEEING
Today take a tour of Scotland's capital city. Start your sightseeing with a drive through the heart of the city along Princes Street, famous for its shops on one side and gardens on the other. See the 18th century New Town with its broad streets, spacious squares and elegant town houses. Stop to visit Calton Hill, one of Edinburgh's main hills, which is set right in the city center. It is unmistakable with its Athenian acropolis poking above the skyline. The top of Calton Hill is an excellent and usually quiet place to come on any day, with its grassy slopes and panoramic views of the city, including down the length of Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. Then drive along the Royal Mile and view the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of Her Majesty The Queen. Stop for a guided tour of the imposing Edinburgh Castle, perched high above the city on volcanic rock. The afternoon and evening are spent at leisure for you to browse, shop, sightsee and dine independently.

Thursday, October 3
PITLOCHERY & SPEYSIDE DISTILLERY

Depart Edinburgh, driving north through what is considered the gateway connecting the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands, the picturesque town of Pitlochery. Stop to take some photos and soak up the delightful atmosphere of this traditional Scottish town.

Drive through Speyside where many distilleries are located. Tour one of these where you can see the process of whiskey production and sample a „wee dram?. After your visit, travel to Inverness and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Tonight enjoy dinner in your hotel restaurant followed by a traditional Scottish ceilidh, a night of lively music and dancing.

Friday, October 4
LOCH LOMOND CRUISE & GLASGOW PANORAMIC TOUR
Leaving Inverness drive south to take a cruise on the celebrated Loch Lomond, Scotland's longest loch. Enjoy wonderful scenic views as you travel through the islands, one of which is the burial place of the Chiefs of the Clan MacGregor. On arrival in Glasgow, take a panoramic tour to see the highlights of Glasgow where many fine Victorian buildings are made with local red sandstone. Drive around George Square, filled with statues of Sir Walter Scott, Queen Victoria and other influential people. See the Victorian City Chambers, opened in 1888 by Queen Victoria. Pass Glasgow Cathedral, a splendid 12th century Gothic building dedicated to St. Mungo, the patron saint of the city. In the evening join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner in the hotel restaurant.

RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES
Today your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to Glasgow Airport in plenty of time to check in for your transatlantic flight or your connecting flight. You may choose to do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before boarding your aircraft for your transatlantic flight. Enjoy your flight across the Atlantic Ocean back to your hometown in the United States.

  • Online Form must be completed to confirm space.
  • Packages are 100% nonrefundable.
  • Travel insurance is recommended and offered by Travel Leaders / Market Square Travel LLC. Travel insurance is optional and is an additional cost.
  • A valid passport is required for all US citizens and each passenger is responsible to have proper documents. Failure to have proper documents could result in denied boarding and/or entry to another country and NO REFUNDS will be made. Please see http://www.travel.state.gov for more information. Travel Leaders suggests your passport be good for 6 months beyond last date of travel.
  • Golf is an option in London and Scotland. Golf prices, times, and courses are not yet confirmed as it depends on the number of participating golfers.
  • Space on the packages is limited and confirmed on a first-come/first-serve basis.
  • Once deposit is paid, name changes are not allowed and bookings cannot be “transferred” to another person.
  • If airfare is not purchased with the package, transfers to/from the airports are not included. If you purchase your own air and can be at the airport at the same time as the group, you may travel with the group at the 1 scheduled arrival and 1 scheduled departure time. If not, you will need to purchase your own transfers at an additional cost.
  • Group airfare is a special packaged-price and any other discounts will not apply, including but not limited to MERSC, Senior Discounts, AARP, AAA, Online coupons, etc.
  • Viking game tickets’ exact location and seat assignments are not guaranteed until tickets are received from Vikings.
  • Prices are based on a group minimum for each tour. If the group does not receive the minimum number of participants by June 1, 2013, tours will be cancelled and all monies refunded.
  • A non-refundable $500 per person deposit is required at time of booking unless the tour is cancelled due to lack of participation, as stated above. If insurance is purchased, you might be able to receive a partial refund if you file a claim with you insurance company.
  • Final payment is 100% non-refundable and due in full by June 3rd, 2013 at 3:00pm CST. Failure to provide Travel Leaders with final payment by then would result in forfeit of deposit and loss of space on the group.
  • Packages are subject to change without notice, including but not limited to hotel, transfers, pre-booked tours, and amenity changes.
  • If airfare is purchased as part of the package the flights are on Delta Airlines and:
    • Flight times are subject to change without notice
    • Flights can be changed from non-stop to connections without notice
    • This is a group block of space and seats cannot be upgraded.
    • This is a group block of seats on the airline and although every request for an aisle/window etc. seat will be taken into consideration no seat assignment is guaranteed.
    • Delta allows each passenger 1 free checked bag under 50 pounds, 1 free carry-on item, and one free personal item. There are additional charges for additional and oversized bags.
